Are you passionate about construction projects and eager to contribute to their success? As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a pivotal role in our commercial team, collaborating with the wider Capital Projects delivery teams.

In this role you’ll find yourself in a team that prides itself on robust subcontractor management, cost and revenue forecasting, and validating subcontractor payment applications. You’ll be the support of our commercial team, working together with the wider Capital Projects delivery teams, providing commercial assistance that breathes life into multiple projects across the PAC estate.

Working from our Larkhill project office, you’ll be visiting sites, conducting surveys, and assisting our Pre-construction Team in the preparation of schedules, specifications, and scopes of work. As well as collaborating with our Procurement Team, navigating through the tender process, and playing a key role in the analysis of tender submissions and preparation of Joint Recommendations.

You’ll also be producing cost plans, estimates, and formal client submissions for your projects. You’ll work closely with our Finance Teams, maintaining a robust cost and revenue forecast that keeps our operations running smoothly.

Ready to join the team?

We’re looking for someone who holds a degree in Quantity Surveying at NVQ Level 3 (or above) and is working towards a relevant professional qualification. You should bring at least 4 years’ experience in a similar commercial role to the table, along with a good working level of knowledge of Office 365 Word and Excel.

Strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, the ability to plan and prioritise activities and close out in a timely manner are also key skills in this role. As well as maintaining confidentiality, having a high level of numeracy, literacy, and attention to detail.

A full UK driving licence is also necessary for this role.

Salary: up to £36,000 depending on experience
