Assistant Fund Accountant - This well established and dynamic Real Estate Investment business is looking to grow the finance function and recruit an ambitious Assistant Fund Accountant to join its team.

The position will provide an opportunity to be involved in cross-functional Finance initiatives, interacting with the Asset and Investment Managers, whilst assisting with the end-to-end accounting activities for a specific real estate fund. The candidate will get good business exposure as the role sits between the Head of Fund Management and the CFO. Key tasks include:

  • In charge of all reporting on a couple of properties and assisting the wider team with Management Accounts preparation, VAT returns, back recs, accruals and prepayments etc.
  • Assisting with quarterly and annual financial statements of your fund,
  • Assisting with producing quarterly investor reporting, including investor capital statements.
  • Helping with preparation of quarterly lender compliance calculations and reporting
  • Working with the auditors on reporting of your fund and its associated entities
  • Assisting in reviewing quarterly financial reporting of SPV's and preparing NAV calculation

The ideal candidate will be a Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 2 years experience within a real estate investment business and looking for genuine career development. You will have strong systems skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
