An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Finance Manager to join a renowned organisation in the Leisure, Travel & Tourism sector. The successful candidate will possess strong accounting skills and have an exceptional eye for detail.

Description

· Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence

· Balance sheet reconciliation preparation and first line review

· Support drafting statutory accounts, as well as consolidated travel accounts and first point of contact for external auditor queries

· Preparation of regulatory returns (CAA/ABTA reporting)

· Submission of actual results and forecast into the group consolidation system (Cognos Controller experience beneficial).

· IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 journal posting

· Ad-hoc management accounting tasks at month end.

· Supporting other requests, such as coordinating financial due diligence checks for potential suppliers.

· Assist with implementing process improvement and proactively progressing/coordinating any actions.

· Support the testing and implementation of a new General Ledger system.

Profile

A successful Assistant Finance Manager should have:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid understanding of financial regulations and accounting processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
