To assist the Partner in handling Ministry of Defence NIHL claims. To manage and progress claims for the Partner in accordance with the strategies and action plan as determined by the Partner.

Compensation package

Hybrid working 1 day in the office, 4 days remote, Health Care Cash Plan, Holidays 25 days plus 8 bank holidays (opportunity to buy & sell 3 days) increasing to 26 after 5 years’ service and to 27 after 10 years’ service, Death In Service - after 1 year, Employer Pension Contribution, Cycle to Work Scheme, Tech Scheme, Season Ticket Loan*, Gym Flex

Key Accountabilities

  • Reviewing documents and preparing reports
  • Dealing with disclosure
  • Reviewing evidence (including medical / personnel records/ Companies House records)
  • Conducting investigations with MOD / obtaining witness statements
  • Instructing Counsel / Experts
  • Research
  • Drafting generally
  • Attending conferences and Trials with Counsel
  • Dealing with routine correspondence
  • Court appointments including own advocacy
  • Providing initial reports and further reports / advice to clients, when requested
  • Liaising directly with the Claims Handlers and Managers
  • Complying with Clients instructions
  • Willing to engage in Client development when required
  • Assisting team in achieving goals and objectives
  • Meeting agreed targets
  • To ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct 2011

Working Hours

35 hours per week Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. Primary location for this role is Coventry
