Description

The Assistant Accountant will be supporting the Finance team and be responsible for the day to day transactional accounting duties for the company:

• Processing invoices, gaining authorisation for payment, payment runs via BACS
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Allocation of cash
• Banking of cheques
• Reconciling bank statements and transactions
• Petty cash
• Expenses
• Posting journals
• Processing timesheets
• Providing administrative support to the Accounting & Finance department
• Involved in system implementations over the coming year

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

• Previous experience in a transactional finance role, ideally with previous experience of accounts payable and bank reconciliations
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ideally studying AAT/ACCA
• Able to commute into the office 3 days a week

Job Offer
