Job Title: Asbestos Lab Manager
Location: Glasgow, Scotland.
Salary / Benefits £24k - £30k + Benefits

Our client is a leading name within the Asbestos industry, who provides the full range of asbestos management services across Scotland. They are now looking to recruit an Asbestos Lab Manager to join their friendly laboratory. You will be ensuring the laboratory is running smoothly day to day, providing ongoing training and support to employees, and liaising with clients efficiently, providing them with analysis results and issuing certificates of analysis. Our client can offer generous holiday allowance, company pension scheme and excellent salary.

Consideration will be given to candidates from: Paisley, Wishaw, Kilmarnock, Falkirk, Stirling, Clydebank, East Kilbride, Carluke, Lanark, Coatbridge, Cumbernauld, Linlithgow.

Experience & Qualifications:
" Holding the P401 is essential to the role.
" Will have excellent knowledge of TRACKER system and good IT skills.
" Will have experience working within a laboratory within the Asbestos Industry.
" Keen eye for detail.
" Excellent communication skills.
" Efficient time management skills.
" Able to work well under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
The Role:
" Ensuring work is being carried out in line with company procedures and HSG guidelines.
" Carrying out quality control within the laboratory.
" Ensuring any waste materials used within the laboratory are disposed of correctly.
" Complete equipment checks monthly.
" Ensuring smooth running of the laboratory on a day-to-day basis.
" Efficiently logging samples upon arrival to the laboratory.
" Liaising with clients, providing results, and issuing certificate of analysis as well as providing support and advice when required.
" Ensuring monthly air monitoring texts are completes.
" Carrying out training of new starters and assisting with development of current employees.
" Carrying out bulk sample audits on analysts.
" Efficiently programming work to ensure all projects are correctly staffed.
" Working alongside the quality auditor to ensure adherence with legislations.
