An exciting opportunity to join a well-established Architectural Practice as an Architectural Technician.

  • Location: Slough, hybrid working available after probation period
  • Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)
  • Benefits: 23 days holiday + bank holidays, nest pension, annual salary reviews, summer, and Christmas events

As the Architectural Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Collating technical information including user needs, site and building surveys, and regulatory requirements
  • Evaluate and advise of environmental, legal, and regulatory issues
  • Assessing what surveys are required before work can commence, ensuring surveys are undertaken
  • Preparing design proposals using CAD and traditional methods
  • Leading the design process
  • Advise on choosing materials
  • Preparing specifications for construction work
  • Obtaining and evaluating tenders and contracts
  • Programme work schedules and carry out inspections at various stages
  • Attending regular meetings with clients, contractors, and other specialists to make sure buildings are meeting the necessary standards

The successful Architectural Technician will have the following related skills / experience:

  • Experienced at freehand drawing
  • Strong mathematical skills for making technical and financial calculations
  • Have scientific ability to understand building technology
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
