The firm mainly takes part in:

  • Business consulting: Quantitative research, Risk management (e.g., Market risk, credit risk, counterparty risk), Banking regulations (e.g., Basel III, Solvency II, FATCA, EMIR, MiFID), Pricing & Valuation, Organisational Transformation & Process Improvement.
  • IT & Information systems consulting: Business Analysis, Project Management, Change management, Front Office Support (functional and technical), Development (e.g., C++, Python, C#, Java, VBA), Financial Software (e.g., Sophis, Murex, Summit, Calypso), IT Transformation & Innovation.

As part of Quanteam Group, Quanteam UK (incorporated in 2010) has today more than 80 consultants, working for major Capital Markets institutions in London.

THE PROJECT

Our client, a major investment bank is currently looking to bring on board talented Consultants, in the APS eSolutions group (Application Production Support Electronic Solutions).

APS is a global team providing services directly to the global FX, Rates, eCommerce and Credit businesses within the Global Market group.

The team is concerned with the production support and release of solutions providing discreet functionality, driven by the trading. The systems are used globally with major server hubs in London, NY, Tokyo and Singapore.

Deal Capture Support Team Supports Fixed Income applications in its London office. Users of the application work in the Front, Middle and Back Office globally. There are several diverse reporting encompassing client flows, profitability (PnL), client contribution and regulatory.

Responsibilities

Act as subject matter expert on Repos and Bond products
Resolving queries from end users with respect to the systems supported, including but not limited to incorrect data issues, ensuring feeds into the system in a timely manner
Ensuring that root cause analysis has been found and solutions implemented to prevent repeat occurrence
Change management: plan, test and release new versions of the system
Write documentation on system features
Write documentation on problem solving guides that will enhance Deal Capture Support
Maintain and enhance procedures and processes to ensure increased reliability of the FIBI systems
Act as Mentor to Team members

Key Skills

Strong business sense and problem-solving skills.

Must understand Rates Fixed Income products.
Must have excellent communication skills
Must be highly self-motivated
Must be organized and diligent
Ability to work under pressure
Must have strong ability to think outside of the box and have track record of demonstrating this skill.
Strong knowledge of MarkitWire.
SQL (Oracle and SQL server): basic queries but also able to write code
Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux environments (commands, ability to create complex batches)
Service management and monitoring tools: Splunk, Autosys, Geneos
FIX protocol (v4.4)

Preferred Skills

Scripting/Dev knowledge (PowerShell, python, java, C#)
Deployment tools: BladeLogic, Jenkins
Infrastructure knowledge: SSL, VPN, UDP, TCP/IP, RV, UM, Radianz, Colo
Market data/Trade affirmation mechanism: STP, RMDS, TOF
