As the Apprenticeship and Work Placement Lead, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing talent, fostering career development, and facilitating the seamless transition from learning to practice within the Trust. You will be the primary point of contact for work placements and apprentice recruitment, forging strong partnerships with educational institutions and internal stakeholders to ensure the success of our programmes.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Programme Development: Collaborate with managers to design and implement apprenticeship and work experience initiatives across all St Monica Trust sites, tailoring programmes to meet the diverse needs of learners.

  2. Financial Management: Assist the Training and Development Manager in allocating Apprenticeship Levy funds and managing associated administrative tasks with precision and compliance.

  3. Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain partnerships with local schools, care providers, and internal stakeholders, actively participating in events such as careers fairs to promote our programmes and opportunities.

  4. Administration and Support: Serve as the initial point of contact and meticulous record-keeper for apprentice development programmes across various sectors, offering guidance and support to participants throughout their journey.


Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in working with individuals facing barriers to employment, or with young people not in education, employment, or training.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the Apprenticeship Levy and Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) system (or willingness to learn) along with an understanding of apprenticeships and potential career pathways for people.
  • Skills:
  • Evaluation: Ability to assess the effectiveness of training programs and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Technology: Proficiency in IT systems, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), to streamline administrative processes and enhance programme delivery.
  • Compliance: Working knowledge of GDPR to ensure the ethical and legal handling of sensitive information.
  • Safeguarding: Good working knowledge of Safeguarding Adults and Children
  • Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with learning principles, the Qualifications and Credit Framework, and specific requirements within the health and social care sector.
  • Project Management: Basic project management skills or the capacity to effectively manage a dynamic caseload of apprentices and organising work placements, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.
  • Health and Safety: Awareness of health and safety protocols, including manual handling

Hours: 35 hours per week, working Monday-Friday (8:30am-4:30pm)
Salary: £31,613.44 per annum
