**EXCITING NEW ROLE**

My clients a well established, friendly freight forwarder based within the Basingstoke area. They are looking for an experience AOG Logistics Clerk to join their team.

You will be responsible for managing and coordinating the transportation of goods via air and oceanfreight. Other duties will include:

  • Liaising with clients, carriers and customs authorities to ensure smooth import and export processes
  • Managing the end to end import export process including booking cargo space, arranging pick ups and coordinating delivery schedules
  • Preparing and submitting quotations within an agreed timeframe and tracking success and failure of quotes
  • Acting as the primary contact for clients, providing shipment updates, resolving issues and building strong relationships with clients
  • Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders and other transport providers to negotiate rates, track shipments and resolve any transport related issues
  • Optimise transport costs by evaluating shipping routes, carrier options and service levels to achieve most cost effective solutions

Experience needed:

  • Industry and operational knowledge of airfreight imports, export and crosstrade
  • Pricing and quotation experience
  • AOG industry experience
  • Strong numerical and commercial skills
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

Working hours:

  • Monday - friday0900am - 1730pm
