Our client, a leading global logistics provider that provides a high-quality level of freight forwarding and logistics services, are looking to recruit an Air Import Coordinator to be based at offices near Colnbrook, Berkshire.

On Offer:

  • An attractive salary up to £34,000 per annum, dependant on experience
  • 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 7am-7pm
  • On commencement 21 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, rising to 25 days plus 8 bank holidays

Main Purpose of the Role:

Reporting to the Air Freight Manager, the role will be responsible for handling air import operations from start to finish whilst offering high end customer service to the client base.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Day to day operations of air import freight forwarding
  • Communication with customers is paramount and keeping them updated along the way - via email and phone
  • Execute the air import shipment at the agreed cost and report any deviation
  • Communicate with origin office to set up shipment and monitor it delivery
  • Provide quotations as and when required
  • Customs clearance (
  • Bill VAT/DUTY if deferment a/c was used
  • Add all costs to the files
  • Update milestones in BT as per department requirements
  • Billing, on time and accurately
  • PODs - ensure that all files have PODs before closing a file
  • Invoice queries
  • Cross training as required by the department

To Be Considered:

  • Proven experience with air import freight forwarding operations
  • Knowledge of customs clearance
  • To be able to work alone and also as a part of the team and demonstrate initiative
  • Proactive
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Flexible
  • Able to ask for help, be open and seek collaboration and assistance if unsure how to handle situation/ problem.
