Right Now Group are currently recruiting for an Air Import Clerk to join our client who are a well-established, multi branch freight forwarder in the UK at their main HQ in Chertsey.

As an Air Import Clerk, your role involves supporting the Air Import operations team in managing the transportation of freight via air.

Duties and responsibilities of an Air Import Clerk:

  • Dealing with Air Import consignments from start to finish.
  • Will be mainly working on a few specific key accounts but will also be expected to assist with other general Air and Road freight shipments.
  • Provide assistance and support to customers, including responding to inquiries, providing shipments updates and addressing any concerns or issues related to the import process.
  • Preparation of billing invoices, verify charges and ensure accurate billing information for import services provided to customers.
  • Assist in the customs clearance process by providing accurate information, verifying compliance with import regulations.
  • Correspond with airlines, customs officials, freight forwarders and other parties involved in the import process to coordinate shipments.

The Successful Air Import Clerk:

  • The client is looking for someone with knowledge of import/export processes.
  • Ability to work within a team and independently.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Solid time-management ability.
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail and organisation skills.

Additional information for the Air Import Clerk Role:

Shift: Monday - Friday

Hours: 09:00 - 17:30

Salary: circa £31k depending on experience
