Contract: Maternity Cover, starting ASAP for at least 1 year, with potential extension until September 2025
Location: Hayes, Middlesex
Salary: £27,000 - £27,500 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Are you seeking an engaging office-based role within a supportive and dynamic team? We have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join our client’s transport team on a maternity cover contract basis.

Overview: No transport experience needed! We're seeking a skilled administrator/coordinator to join their very busy and fluid transport operations department. Training will be provided as you'll be involved in coordinating deliveries and transportation to both retail and consumers. Solid administration experience, perhaps from logistics or sales support, is essential. We're looking for a strong, confident, organised, and thorough individual with a good sense of humour. Plus, proficiency in Excel and the ability to think outside the box are key!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Transport team.
  • Assist in coordinating daily transport operations, including scheduling deliveries and managing driver routes.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and vehicle movements.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
  • Assist in resolving any transport-related issues or queries.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of administrative processes within the Transport department.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within a transport or logistics environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
