Your new role
As an Accounts Receivable Clerk you will have an ongoing impact on financial transactions, ensuring good working relationships with this business's valued customers.
Duties will cover:

  • Raising and processing of Self Bill and Non Self Bill invoices, posting invoices to accounts receivable accounts to update sales.
  • Processing of credit notes requested by customer services.
  • Raising miscellaneous sales invoices and pro-forma invoices.
  • Monitoring and chasing debt on a regular basis to ensure the prompt settlement of outstanding accounts.
  • Issuing monthly customer statements.
  • Maintenance of cash book entries and reconciliations, including monthly bank reconciliations
    Contribute to monthly aged debt review meetings with the Financial Controller and Management Accountant to analyse outstanding accounts and agree action points to resolve billing queries or issues.
  • Maintenance of the accounts receivable sales ledger to ensure the accuracy and order of customer accounts.
  • Access customer portals to download payment information, reconciling self-bill payments to amounts due.
  • Print remittances and manage queries raised through the central accounts receivable email inbox, dealing with customer queries promptly.
  • Process supplier receipts, sourcing remittance advices, and allocating payments.Raise credit notes against deductions for customer debit notes.
  • Support management reporting specific to accounts receivable.
  • Audit support specific to accounts receivable.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience working within a busy environment and accounts receivable knowledge.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to be proactive and make decisions.
  • A self-starter who can take initiative.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail.
