An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high calibre Accounts Payable Team Leader to join a dynamic team in North Manchester.

With a core objective of maintaining a well-organised Accounts Payable function, this position ensures adequate controls and quality checks are in place, complying with audit and governance requirements.

As an Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a well-organised Accounts Payable function.

You will lead your team in ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and on time, while also acting as an escalation point for any supplier payment related issues.

Your role will extend beyond daily operations as you work closely with the AP Manager to drive process improvements and oversee the integration of mergers and acquisitions.

Your ability to develop professional networks across the business will be crucial in understanding and meeting evolving business needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the Accounts Payable team on a day-to-day basis, monitoring performance against key indicators.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices/credits received.
  • Oversee reconciliation of supplier statements to AP Ledger.
  • Prepare payment runs and oversee the process to completion.
  • Act as escalation contact within the company regarding any supplier payment related matters.
  • Support the AP Manager to identify, drive & implement process and control improvements.
  • Oversee integration of mergers and acquisitions onto SAP for the AP team.
  • Develop professional networks across the business to understand developing requirements

The ideal candidate for this Accounts Payable Team Leader role brings demonstrable experience in leading an end-to-end Accounts Payable process. You have an eye for detail, ensuring high quality and accuracy in all tasks. Your leadership skills enable you to motivate your team effectively, setting goals and managing performance. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential in this role, as is experience working with multiple locations, business units and currencies. Your excellent customer service skills and working knowledge of MS Office products, particularly Excel, will be key to your success in this role
