This position requires an Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for managing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to the organisation.

Description

The key responsibilities of a Accounts Payable Officer will include, but may not be limited to;

  • Manage the processing of invoices and expense forms.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and perform check runs.
  • Maintain vendor files and corresponding documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external suppliers.
  • Ensure transactions are processed in line with financial policies and procedures.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations.
  • Assist with internal and external audits as required.

Profile

A successful Accounts Payable Officer should have:

  • Public Sector and Government background.
  • A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial systems.
  • Experience with accounts payable functions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve discrepancies and issues.
