Accounts Payable Manager, Maidenhead (Hybrid), £55,000-£65,000+benefits 

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to oversee our clients accounts payable department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. The Accounts Payable Manager will lead a team, maintain vendor relationships, and implement best practices to optimize efficiency and accuracy within the department.

Key Responsibilities for the Accounts Payable Manager: 

• Lead and manage the accounts payable team of 15, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure optimal performance
• Oversee the processing of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and timely payment.
• Review and approve invoices for payment, resolving any discrepancies or issues promptly
• Coordinate with the finance team to ensure sufficient funds are available for timely payments.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving payment issues in a professional manner.
• Negotiate payment terms and discounts with vendors to optimize cash flow and minimize costs.
• Oversee the processing and reimbursement of employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Review expense reports for accuracy and adherence to company guidelines.
• Prepare and analyze accounts payable aging reports, accruals, and other relevant financial reports.
• Provide regular updates to management on accounts payable metrics, trends, and issues.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the accounts payable function.
• Implement best practices to streamline processes, reduce errors, and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Manager: 

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable management, with at least 2 years in a large or complex organization.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practice
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with NetSuite or Oracle Fusion or similar platforms.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
