Accounts Assistant

Adele Carr Financial recruitment are looking for an organised and experienced Accounts Assistant to work in a busy Engineering company in the Knowsley area of Liverpool. The successful candidate will be required to have a Purchase Ledger specialism but also be able to undertake all aspects of the transactional functions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Purchase ledger:
• Processing high volume of purchase ledger invoices (mainly Innio and Waukesha invoices)
• Reconciling purchase ledger balances with supplier statements
• Dealing with queries on a daily basis, liaising with internal and external contacts to resolve invoice queries in a timely manner
• Housekeeping of supplier ledgers - ensuring payment allocations are complete, contacting suppliers for missing invoices, and filing of invoices
• Monthly Innio MSA cleardown and reconciliation
• Accurate and timely processing of weekly payment runs of multi currencies
• Expenses:
• Collating, checking and processing of employee expenses; ensuring transactions claimed are in accordance with the company's expenses policy

Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills

• Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel/Office
• Confident user of vlookups
• Good knowledge of accounting packages - Microsoft Navision would be advantageous Study support available
