Job Description:

Our client is currently looking for an Accounts Assistant who is meticulous and detail-oriented to become part of their team. The ideal candidate will be entrusted with various accounting responsibilities to ensure the seamless operation of their financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase invoices, track against orders, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Enter invoices accurately into the ledger using Hubdoc.
  • Generate and dispatch student invoices, conduct reconciliations, and assist in day-to-day accounts operations.
  • Initiate BACS runs, assist with journals, and reconcile credit card payments.
  • Handle inquiries, process new staff, ensure GDPR compliance, and manage payroll and pension schemes.
  • Undertake ad hoc duties and renew utility contracts as needed.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in accounting.
  • Proficiency in Sage, Xero, and Hubdoc.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with GDPR and payroll processing is beneficial.
