Accounts Assistant Role Overview

NC Associates are working with a fast-growing group business who require the skills of an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and high performing team. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and will predominately support Purchase and Sales ledger processes. Accounts Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Performing multiple daily bank and payment platform reconciliations
  • Supplier purchase invoice processing
  • Preparing and approving the weekly supplier BACS payment run
  • Management and resolution of supplier queries.
  • Support with supplier cost analysis – finding more cost-effective solutions where possible.
  • Assisting with the reconciliation of the debtor’s ledger.
  • Reviewing credit card statements and employee expenses requests
  • Any additional finance tasks or project work as required.

Accounts Assistant Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Assistant capacity.
  • Capable of managing high volumes of financial data.
  • Excellent IT skills with an intermediate level of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A friendly team focussed attitude and approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships.
  • High levels of data accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to maintain a positive, “can do” attitude.
  • The desire to learn new skills and to develop within an accounting career path.
