Accounts Assistant

Annual Salary: £24,119 - £26,000
Location: Maidstone
Job Type: Permanent and full-time
Working Arrangements: Office based


I am looking for a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join a finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payments, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation.

Day-to-day of the role:

- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
- Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Assist with accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end close activities.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Support the finance team with various administrative tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Experience in QuickBooks Online accounting software - essential.
- Accountancy / Finance related degree - highly desirable
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of financial services and accounting principles.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
