Job Title: Accounting Assistant

Salary £13.10 per hour

Position. Temp for a minimum of 1 month

Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis (3 days a week). Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays with the possibility of Working from home other days.

The ideal candidate will have AAT Level 2 or 3 qualifications, although this is not mandatory. This position offers an opportunity to support our accounting department in various tasks and contribute to the smooth operation of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks such as bookkeeping, invoicing, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Prepare financial documents and reports for review by senior staff.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents and records.
  • Collaborate with team members to support departmental goals and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • AAT Level 2 or 3 qualifications preferred.
  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Working Conditions:

  • The position is part-time, 3 days a week.
