About This Position

Our family client are looking for an Accountant to join their friendly team. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role is an integral part of the Finance / Administration team, and, a key function for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Managing Sage system
  • Complete quarterly management accounts
  • Customer direct debit submissions
  • Raising sales invoices and statements
  • Managing customer credit Insurance and working with Credit Insurers
  • Provide detailed, timely and accurate financial reports (Cashflow, Balance Sheet, Fixed Assets, Profit and Loss, Trial Balance and other necessary ad-hoc financial reports)
  • Overseeing the Accounts Payable function and authorising payments
  • Manage the accounting system to ensure consistency, accurate entry, and accurate reporting of all accounts
  • Process Payroll & Benefits monthly
  • Preparing and submitting VAT Quarterly
  • Escalate finance and accounting issues to leadership team when necessary
  • Ensure consistency of existing accounting systems through creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards and procedures
  • Preparing and processing month end journals, accruals, prepayments and stock journal

Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant or minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role (QBE, ACA, ACCA)
  • Intermediate knowledge of other common software applications (Microsoft Office, Excel)
  • Sage Payroll experience
  • Experience of implementing and improving systems and processes

Job Type

  • Full-time, permanent

Salary

  • £38,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
