Accountant, Real Estate

£60,000-£65,000

Central London, Hybrid

We are partnered with a leading pan-European property company in their search for a Newly Qualified Accountant to join their thriving team in London.

The Accountant will be in charge of the preparation and review of management accounting for one the largest property portfolios in the UK market, and liaise with various stakeholders internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a multi-company property portfolio within the UK jurisdiction
  • Review and control company-level Net Operating Income and Balance Sheet
  • Handle accruals and pre-payments
  • Liaise with external advisors (auditors, property managers) for consistent and timely accounting information
  • Prepare quarterly management accounts and annual statutory accounts (IFRS or UK GAAP)
  • Manage UK VAT returns
  • Accurately report property disposals and profit on sale
  • Facilitate acquisition entries
  • Provide accurate financial information to support asset managers' decision-making

Key Skills:

  • ACCA, ACA, CIMA Qualified Accountant
  • Relevant experience in property accounting preferably in real estate investment trusts
  • Yardi experience is advantageous
  • Strong excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills
