The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Slough area. We are looking for multiple 7.5 Tonne Drivers (CAT C1) to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday with occasional weekends available, 8am until approximately 5pm.

Pay Rate: £16.55 per hour PAYE.

Location: Slough, SL3

Job Type: Temporary to permanent.

The role:

  • Up to 50 stops per day, including deliveries and collections (commercial and residential).

  • Handling bulk deliveries with a mix of handball, tail lift, and pump truck work.

  • Ensuring timely and safe transportation of parcels.

  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.

  • Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.

  • Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence with 7.5 Tonne entitlement (category C1).

  • Proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.

  • Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.

  • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).

  • Have the ability to pass a driving assessment.

  • Full understanding of WTD legislation.

  • Excellent communication skills.
