1:1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Oldham

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and supporting their educational journey? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to a student with specific educational needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Foster a positive and supportive relationship with the student.
  • Aid in classroom activities and support the class teacher.
  • Monitor and track the progress of the student.
  • Collaborate with the school's Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and other staff members.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the student at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
  • A relevant teaching assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
