This includes employers, teachers, health and social care workers and anyone involved in safeguarding vulnerable adults, children or young people. Raising awareness about domestic abuse benefits individuals, businesses, and organisations. Physical abuse is often perceived as much worse since people can end up with physical wounds. Emotional abuse can be equally damaging and, in some cases, worse. It is important to understand and raise awareness of all types of domestic violence and abuse.
