Arboriculture I (Basic) Online Course.100 Hours Endorsed Certificate Course (TQUK - Training Qualifications UK).

An excellent distance learning foundation program in tree care, tree management and tree culture, that you learn through home study.

This course helps you develop skills and understanding in the diagnosis and treatment of tree disorders, whether the problem is being caused by pests, disease, nutritional and water problems, or something else. You will also learn about standard tree surgery practice and essential pruning techniques such as: crown cleaning, crown thinning, crown reduction, crown lifting and crown renewal, plus normal branch removal.

After completing this course developed and updated by tree surgery professionals over many years, you will know where and how to plant trees, what varieties of trees to plant, how to transplant trees from one place to another and how to protect young trees. You will also have a good basic working knowledge of tree biology, soil chemistry in relation to trees, diagnosing tree problems, tree surgery, the right equipment to use in tree work, plus important workplace health and safety knowledge.

Once you have completed this course, you can extend your skills and level of expertise even further with our follow on intermediate course: Arboriculture II and/or Trees for Rehabilitation. There are also specialised tree course options available, including Deciduous Trees which covers: Maple, Birch, Ash, Oak, Prunus and other lesser known varieties.
