PRINCE2® is widely used throughout the UK public and private sectors, and is a prerequisite for many project management roles.
Overview
PRINCE2® Foundation
The PRINCE2® Foundation qualification is the first of two PRINCE2 qualifications required to become a PRINCE2® Practitioner. The PRINCE2® Foundation qualification will teach you the fundamentals of PRINCE2® principles and terminology. Once qualified you will be recognised as a valuable member of a project team applying the PRINCE2® methodology. Please note: the exam needs to be purchased and booked seperately via APMG.
PRINCE2® Practitioner
The practitioner level qualification provides all the tools you need to become a PRINCE2® expert. It will incorporate the management of project risk, maintenance of effective communication channels and control of spend within budget. Attention will be given to practical participation in a case study encompassing the most essential elements of a PRINCE2® project.
Participants will explore the relationship between the business case and the project and develop specific PRINCE2® products during the course. The final day of the course will include the Practitioners examination. Some pre-workshop study is expected of the candidates’ prior to attending the course. The course is accredited through OGC and based on the 2009 version of the PRINCE2® manual.
Study method
This course has been specially formulated by the Reed group, containing elements of online and classroom based study. The PRINCE2® Foundation qualification can be taken entirely online whilst the PRINCE2® Practitioner level qualification provided by Reed Learning requires classroom attendance.
