The Level 3 Award is suitable for anyone who is fairly new to working in learning and development; whether your focus is on identifying and analysing needs, designing training interventions, training delivery or a combination of the above. It is also ideal for more experienced L&D professionals looking to refresh and gain formal recognition of their skills.

The qualification is underpinned by our Trainer Competency Framework, which has been approved by our independent Academic Board. The qualification consists of two separate course modules, allowing you to fit the learning around your work and life commitments.

Course Overview
Qualification structure
The qualification is awarded following five days of training plus two assessments: one practical and one written. This programme addresses all stages of the learning cycle and is delivered in two distinct modules. It is designed to give you a complete toolkit of skills to deliver high-quality training that not only meets delegate requirements but also involves them in the learning process.
Assessment
To gain the Level 3 qualification you will need to complete two assignments relating to the learning you have covered on your courses. Learning and Development in Practice will be assessed via a written assignment.. Train the Trainer will be assessed via a recording of a delivered training session, accompanied by written evidence such as a lesson plan and reflective statement.
This qualification forms part of the 'Learning and Performance Academy', delivered in partnership with EDI and ASTD. Successful graduates of the Level 3 Award may wish to consider our suite of Certificate programmes, awarded by the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD).
