Overview

The Diploma in Business Administration provides office professionals with a recognised qualification from the UK’s leading training provider. The breadth of the modules will provide you with the core competencies that will enable you to take on a broader role, increased management responsibilities and offer greater contributions to your manager and team.

The Diploma will be awarded when you have attended this five day programme and on completion of post-module assignments. There is a more flexible approach to this programme which can be completed between 3 and 18 months.

Description
This programme can be completed in a week. If you would like a more flexible option you can attend the first module - ‘Building on your Communications Skills’ – and attend the remaining modules in any order. You can complete individual days or days grouped together. Whatever suits your schedule best!

Understand profit and loss accounts and balance sheets

Understand the nature and behaviour of costs
Differentiate between capital and operating expenditure
Define budgeting
Compile a simple departmental budget
Compile a cash budget

Project Management

By the end of this module you will be able to:

Define what is meant by a project
Identify the role, skills and qualities of an effective project manager
Set clear, realistic objectives for a project and understand the project life cycle
Confidently plan, organise and document a project in a logical manner
Monitor, control and adjust a project effectively and keep all relevant parties informed of project progress
Predict risks and make appropriate contingency plans
Review and learn from strengths and weakness identified on completion of a project

Managing People

By the end of this module you will be able to:
