Who is it for Managers, supervisors, designers and CDM Co-ordinators from the Construction Industry. The NEBOSH Construction Certificate helps them manage risks effectively. It will also prove effective for those who have to manage the activities of contractors. The qualification is specifically referred to as a key competence in the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007. The qualification is also appropriate for supervisors and managers working in other industries such as utilities, and even broadcasting, where temporary workplaces are a feature of their activities. Many people take NEBOSH Certificate courses as a first step on a career in health and safety. It provides a valuable overview, and is a sound basis for further professional study. What is it about The NEBOSH National Construction Certificate is accepted by IOSH – the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health – in meeting the academic requirements for Technician Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH). It is also accepted by The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) for associate membership. The NEBOSH National Construction Certificate is accredited at Level 3 within the National Qualification Framework (NQF) by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) in England, the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) in Wales and the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland. The logos of these organisations will appear on the certificates awarded for the qualification.

Certification
Candidates are assessed with written examinations for each of the two taught units. A unit certificate is issued denoting successful achievement of each unit. A Certificate award parchment is issued on completion of the two units and the practical assessment.
The practical assessment is arranged by Phoenix Health & Safety and carried out in a simulated workplace environment.
