Course Details: AAT Level 3 Diploma for Accounting Technicians

Course Overview

This course builds on the knowledge gained via AAT Level 2 Certificate for Accounting. It involves undertaking practical tasks rather than focusing on theory. You will learn more complicated accounting tasks, including the preparation of final accounts for sole traders and partnerships. Afterwards, you will have the option of undertaking further training in order to progress towards the full AAT Accounting Qualification. The AAT is the leading professional body for Accounting Technicians, so this qualification is guaranteed to open the door to a huge range of well paid and highly respected accounting roles. You should be able to complete the entire course within approximately 300 hours of study and your course material will cover a wide variety of topics and subjects such as:

• Short-Term & Long-Term decision making
• Statistical analysis
• Data collection
• Producing reports
• Improving your own performance

Qualification

This course prepares you to sit the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 3 Diploma for Accounting Technicians, which will involve passing five external exams. You will also have the option of taking the Sage Certificate of Competency. The Level 3 Certificate is the second of four stages in the AAT pathway. The full Accounting Technician qualification is approximately equivalent to the first year of an honours degree and secures entry into one of the chartered accountancy bodies such as Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
