Workwear/PPE Buyer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a retail buyer, preferably with category development experience within clothing, footwear or workwear/PPE to join an established retailer. Candidates must have a proven track record in successful negotiation, supplier management and problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

-                      Managing the supplier base in line with company policy and commercial objectives, proposing additions and deletions through the Range Review process

-                      Ensure developments are constantly evolving and innovative materials and applications are being researched and used where possible.

-                      Understanding of high quality guidelines and the durability of products.

-                      Source new suppliers worldwide to ensure most effective supply base.

-                      Visit factories worldwide where needed.

-                      Manage a worldwide supply base.

-                      Resolving quality, pricing, shipment issues.

-                      Negotiate to ensure that margins and profitability are maintained and improved.

-                      Manage portfolio and work with expeditors to ensure that products are placed with the most appropriate sources.

-                      Researching and responding effectively to emerging competitor and customer activity

-                      Hold and contribute in meetings and presentations to the European Sales Directors.

Salary Negotiable DOE
