An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shift Supervisor to join our client's successful team based in Lymington. In return you will receive a competitive salary of £11.50 per hour.
The Company
Our client has over 45 years' experience in manufacturing butyl tapes, developing formulations for many different applications. This is a privately owned family business, which allows them to make decisions, to be flexible and to connect with their customers on an intimate level.
The Role
As Shift Supervisor you will initially be working Monday to Thursday (days) during the first month to enable the provision of full training and then switching to Friday to Sunday.
Your duties will include:
* Overseeing the Extruder floor and Mix department. Ensuring all aspects of all areas are maintained to a world-class standard.
* Working with all site members to achieve all KPI's and delivering the required profit target. OE, Waste, RFT, OTIF, Labour %,
* Reduce product changeover times using SMED tolls and techniques
* Working with the Engineering team to promote and achieve continual improvements with world class planned maintenance.
* Follow all company policies and procedures and promote a professional working environment for all.
* Ensure all skill gaps are identified in order to ensure any Trainer resource is placed in the correct position with a clear training schedule.
* Arrange Holidays and Overtime for Operators when required
* Ensure that the production plan for both the Mix and Extruder departments is followed and make any necessary changes when required
* Continual monitoring of waste levels. Creating ways to reduce. Work with all details to ensure we reduce waste levels and costs associated.
* Control any cold mix stock within the mix department.
* Daily reviews of OEE results ensuring that all run rates are being achieved. Work with operators to understand if any that are not achieved. Create improvements to correct.
* Ensure the plant is clean, tidy and organised while maintain high standards of the 5 S programme
* Any other reasonable request from your Manager.
