Web Designer / UI Designer (User Interface Design - HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Adobe)
We are looking for a Web Designer / UI Designer with experience working in a web design and/or user interface design role using HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills as well as Adobe's Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator etc.) to join an in-house creative team of a leading software house of a large FTSE 100 Organisation based in Bedford, Bedfordshire.
As a Web Designer / UI Designer (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Adobe) you will have the opportunity to use your inspiration, creativity and flair to provide the visual direction and user interface design for a range of web, desktop and mobile based projects. The successful candidate will gain exposure to all stages of the visual design process from exploring concepts through to production and the opportunity to develop your design skills (layout, hierarchy, typography, colour theory, patterns). You will also be working closely with back-end developers to bring your design to life and the UX team to ensure you understand user needs.
Skills required for the Web Designer / UI Designer role are:
Experience following agile (scrum) processes would be advantageous as would some knowledge of the Microsoft stack of web technologies (IIS / ASP.NET / MVC / Razor) however this is not essential.

- Previous experience working in a Web Designer, UI Designer or similar position
- Experience working with visual design software including Adobe's Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator etc.)
- Experience of producing mood board, composites and other design deliverables
- Experience of using low-fidelity sketches and illustrations
- Experience with producing high quality, standards compliant HTML4/5, XHTML, JavaScript, JQuery and CSS2/3
- A strong ability to clearly communicate and present design concepts
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills that allow you to communicate effectively with a variety of colleagues and stakeholders
