Part of Sussex Educare, Woodland Grange, is an independent special school and children's homes for boys and girls aged from 7 to 19 years with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

We are looking to appoint staff to undertake night shift work, helping children to settle at night, waking in the morning and take responsibility for all aspects of the safety and security of the residents whilst on shift.

You will provide an immediate response to young people in the event of a health or other emergency, taking prompt action and ensuring that other services are accessed as appropriate.  To contact the sleepover worker/ on call manager as appropriate for support to deal with an immediate situation or crisis.

We welcome applicants who could represent the rich and diverse cultural backgrounds of our children and have a passion to work with young people and challenging behaviour.

Whilst previous experience of working with young people is ideal, we are also interested in candidates who have an interest in this area and would be willing to train.  Successful candidates would have access to training opportunities including Diploma (NVQ 3) in relevant care/children and young people areas.

Due to the location of the school, near Horsham, a driving licence and own transport is essential.

An enhanced level CRB check will be required.
