Our client based in Cardiff is seeking a Vendor Manager to effectively manage Vendor supply relationships and ensure exceptional product availability whilst continually driving down the total activity cost.
Main Duties
• Continually improve OTIF supply of product
• Identify & secure cost reductions whilst maintaining relationships with key suppliers
• Ensure procurement management system is operating in line with expectations and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies
• Ensure product master file data is accurate & up to date
• Minimise other input costs e.g carriage & duties
• Monitor & resolve supplier related performance issues.
• Ensure all sku’s are classified & performing in line with policies
• Review supply route to optimise efficiencies & customer experience
• Support demand planning team with proactive management of potential "out of stocks" items
• Review new items to adapt supply route if necessary after 3 month
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a procurement related position
- Experience of SAGE & / or Microsoft Navision
- Excellent Excel & database analysis skills
- Experience of developing stock-keeping policies, developing efficient procurement algorithms & development of KPI’s
- Demonstrate leading successful cost reduction & supply improvement negotiations
- Experience of international sourcing
- Experience of vendor management & development
