Vehicle Electrician

If you like fixing things and helping people, come and build on your vehicle repair skills and get more out of life in your spare time. There’s a Territorial Army role waiting for you right now.

You’ll be maintaining a wide range of electrical equipment , vehicles and parts, working with everything from motorcycles to generators. Once you’ve diagnosed the electrical problem, you’ll come up with the right solution, whether this involves repairing a component or rewiring.

We’d welcome applications from practical men and women aged 17 to 42 who enjoy working outside and can make decisions. You’ll also have experience in a relevant field such as driving, computing, investigation and research, vehicle repair or electrical/communication/mechanical engineering.

After basic training in soldiering skills, you’ll move on to in-depth vehicle wiring and electrical theory. After this, you’ll understand our vehicles right down to component level and be capable of identifying and remedy most vehicle electrical problems.

You must be a qualified Vehicle Electrician or mechanic, in an apprenticeship or studying in an engineering college. Candidates must have UK Citizenship.
