An excellent opportunity for a VAT Consultant to join a Top 20 practice in Dorset, with a network of offices in the UK and Europe. The VAT Consultant will be working as part of the tax team, providing a professional and efficient VAT and indirect tax advisory service to business clients and other staff, and assuming a leading role in the development of the VAT team in order to grow the business and expand the VAT client base.
The successful candidate will be a high calibre, driven indirect tax professional with a practice background, ideally with ATT or CTA qualification or equivalent experience, who can contribute to and develop the team and ensure timely and accurate delivery of VAT services. You will have excellent analytical skills, an ability to provide clear solutions and deliver on compliance tasks when required. An interest in selling services to existing clients of the firm and to non-clients, including taking responsibility for marketing projects, is essential, together with excellent written and verbal communication skills, commercial awareness and the ability to cross sell and generate new business.
