We are looking for a highly experienced User Interface / User Experience Designer to join our Development team.  This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled UI/UX designer to join a well known forward thinking company.

As the successful candidate you will ideally have around 3 years’ project experience in:

  • Latest web practices, creating outstanding user experiences.
  • Design of successful mobile applications for iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, etc.
  • Bring new ideas and approaches to technical projects, by using your great wealth of technical know-how.
  • Excellent understanding of a range of UI/UX development tools.
  • Ability to create sketches, illustrations, wire-frames, prototypes, user flow layouts, interaction / navigation specifications and designs for both web and mobile applications.
  • Have a natural flair for design and creativity, an eye for detail and a proven track record of producing clean icons, graphics, and layouts for web and mobile applications.
  • An excellent understanding of brand awareness, continuity and consistency.
  • Establishing and maintaining company standards and guidelines for user interface / experience design.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience of working with teams of developers and designers.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to deliver high quality work to agreed timescales and the ability to manage and prioritise own workload.

You will ideally hold a degree in product design, interaction design or human-computer interaction.  Experience of working in an ISO9001 / TickIT software configuration management environment would also be desirable.

You will be expected to be able to demonstrate how you can add value to the business by explaining what 'best practises’ and technical methods you have used, and which you can implement to deliver leading edge web based products and mobile applications.  Supporting evidence showing previous experience of this would be beneficial.

Salary: Circa £40K + excellent working environment, competitive benefits and the opportunity to work with leading edge products.
