Our client, a leading insurer, has a vacancy in Leeds for an Underwriting Assistant to provide administration and underwriting support across all areas of the company.

A new vacancy has arisen within this leading insurer for an Underwriting Assistant in Leeds to provide administrative and underwriting support across all areas of the company. The role will involve assisting with the prioritisation and allocation of new business quotations, mid term adjustments, claims experience and declinature of new business falling outside the company's underwriting strategy. Assisting the underwriters with the company's schemes, ensuring key information is captured and accurately stored on the company's underwriting system. Assisting the underwriters with reporting, production of policy wordings, underwriting referrals and other ad-hoc tasks.

Prospective applicants must posses basic insurance knowledge and an understanding of key commercial activities. Must have the ability to prioritise workloads. Excellent keyboard and VDU skills, including practical and demonstrable knowledge of Word and Excel. Excellent written, verbal and numerical skills. Attention to detail and the ability to undertake repetitive work and be a team player.
