Job Description
Focused on technical excellence and providing exceptional service, this Insurer is constantly looking to develop new and existing relationships further to ensure they have quality business on the books.
Due to continued growth and development within the firm of new and more complete insurance covers, they have an exciting opportunity to join their team in Bristol.
The successful candidate will be required to:
• Underwrite Property, Liability and Miscellaneous Commercial classes ( eg GiT, PA, ) within the relevant classes of business.
• To build effective relationships with customers to develop business opportunities.
• To enhance earnings through application of specialist class of business knowledge and risk taking to build and enhance the profile of the Company.
• To lead and develop a team when appropriate.
Candidates should be:
• Technically proficient in the classes of business written, ideally Property, Liability and Miscellaneous Commercial.
• Effective negotiation, persuasion and influencing skills.
• Extensive Insurance experience, gained within general, commercial insurance.
• Strong awareness of the local market place(s) and customers.
• Experience of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships within the local market.
• Experience of producing reports, analysis and communicating results and recommendations to senior level.
• Qualified in ACII or equivalent industry specific professional qualifications.
