We currently have a requirement for an Under Graduate Artwork Coordinator at our Avignon site in France. This is a 12 months placement opportunity for a year 2 or year 3 undergraduate that is fluent in French & English

THE ROLE

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Gather all information needed for the creation of the printed packaging : master of artwork, copy documents (texts), product specifications and ensure they are available in the artwork validation systems for the artwork creation to start on time.
  • Coordinate the timely creation and approval of the packaging texts through the Marketing, Regulatory and Culinary departments.
  • Ensure the artwork is created (assembly of texts + graphics) and approved on time by tracking and following progress in the artwork validation systems for all markets.
  • Coordinate the resolution of quality issues emanating from the printer proofs between the design agency and the printer
  • Attend press approvals at printer facilities. Liaise with local marketing and the design agency to obtain the best results. Technical training will be offered to perform this task effectively.
  • Provide support & progress reporting to management.

Role scope

  • Reports to the role of EMEA Product Lifecycle Manager, part of the EMEA Consumer marketing team
  • Work functionally with the Packaging coordinator of the project
  • Numerous contacts within outside the company particularly and in order of importance with : Marketing in various business units and in Europe, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Production Planning, printers and specialized artwork agencies

PROFILE

Education

  • Year 2 or Year 3 undergraduate student in Business or related discipline
  • Fluent in French and English
  • A third European language would be an advantage

Knowledge and Experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated prior involvement in business, the community or university bodies preferred

Personal Attributes

  • Diligence, diplomacy and good interpersonal skills are a must.
  • Able to travel and drive in Europe

TIMING

  • Starts asap in June 2013 for 12 months
