UK2 Mainframe Operations

Layered Mainframe Operator required to work on multiple Mainframe accounts. The role is Mainframe Operations 24x7x365 support of 30+ Lpars, system
Monitoring and batch.
Main Accountabilities:
Working as part of a 4 man Mainframe shift delivering thousands of batch Jobs and failures 24x7x365. This will be across 7 mainframe accounts and 1 Midrange account. You will also perform system monitoring, Recovery, changes to 2nd level including IPL of Lpar and processors.
This small team on shift also supports New Business (RFS) and TandT, and covers DR tests for UK, South Africa and now India based accounts. The role has to have Government SC clearance to support Equifax IPS and Defra/RPA from Warwick Command Centre.
Toolset used daily:
Tools: Lotus NOTES EMAIL and Databases, CLAIM, Office, Lotus Symphony
Monitoring Tools: WWAO, OPSMVS, AFOPER,
System and Commands: JES2, JES3, OPSMVS, CICS, OMEGAMON, OAM, IMS, IDMS, DB2, JCL
Experience and Qualifications:
Manipulating Datasets and Proc Libraries. All other Mainframe delivery tools may be used on occasions.
Problem and Change tools = MAXIMO, NRCPMA, Remedy, Manage now
Batch tools = OPC, CA7, CA11, Job track
Other Tools = Citrix, WTS, HMC, Pcomm
