Working for one of the world's leading process and industrial automation companies and reporting directly to the Managing Director, the UK Services Manager will take responsibility for the profitable and efficient development of the Technical Services Business including, maintenance, commissioning, repair, calibration, supply of parts and training for the full range of the company's products.
This is ideally suited to people currently working in the process control industry at a senior level who are seeking a role with more responsibility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Maintain quality of Service delivery and seek to improve customer satisfaction levels
- Set overall business strategy, work to secure buy in from all stack holders, communicate & drive the team.
- Overall management of service business to meet operational and business plans, including growth and margin targets.
- Develop and implement services marketing for local market.
- Contribute to the development of service products
- Grow the services business within assigned territories
Main Tasks
- Develop an annual Business Plan and set overall growth strategy
- Deliver the business financial performance to meet and exceed the Business Plan.
- Positively and actively contribute to the senior management team's activities and development.
- Provide monthly report on all activities within the department to the senior management team
- Provide technical support for process and automation services
- Ensure all available resources are used to their maximum potential by incorporating good planning procedures. Recruit personnel as required
- Ensure that ISO 9001:2000 Quality Standards are implemented
- Develop cohesive relationships with customers, both external and internal.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the process control industry.
- Proven track record in the management of customer services.
- Leadership and Team work, as part of a structured team in the preparation of proposals for and the servicing of process instrumentation.
- Understanding of computer integration, networking and MIS systems
- Sales / marketing support for high technology capital equipment
- Formal technical education in a related discipline.
- Recognised formal qualification in an engineering or process related subject
- Training in sales / marketing / negotiation
- Further qualification in business administration or sales/marketing
- PRINCE 2 qualification desirable
- Knowledge of commercial and project management in Oil / Gas and power generation sector
