Training Officer - South East (Temp to Perm)

Our client is a leading independent consultancy providing expert advice on insurance, employee benefits, healthcare and financial planning for businesses and private individuals

They have an exciting opportunity for a Training Officer to join their proactive engaging L&D Team. The role will initially run on a three month contract basis - but there is every likelihood that this may become a permanent thereafter. The successful candidate will support the South East region with all its Learning & Development needs. They will be required to champion training across the business in line with Group and Divisional process and policy and where appropriate, facilitate the delivery of training activity across the Reading, Oxford, Worthing, Guildford, Gillingham and Hearne Bay offices. 

Key responsibilities include:

• To provide a proactive training support to the business by satisfying training needs for technical and systems competence
• To organise, promote and coach those involved in taking professional qualifications
• To help the business identify, coordinate, schedule and deliver its training priorities
• To help line managers use Broker Assess to build the skills of their team members
• On occasions to deliver in-house face to face skills training to small groups
• To oversee new employees induction programmes
• To help the business keep accurate records and files at all times
• To build good working relationships with your colleagues and the business

The successful candidate is likely to spend circa 3 days a week travelling so a full driving license is essential. The CII Certificate or Diploma qualification is also desirable. You will need to be proactive and have a can do attitude at all times and should approach tasks with a high degree of energy and enthusiasm. Excellent planning and organising skills are essential to success in this role as is the ability to interact effectively and sensitively with others at all times.
