We are currently looking for a commercially aware Training Manager in a fast-growing provider of open and in-house training programmes to SMEs across the UK.

The successful candidate will have previously held strategic management positions and will have at least some experience in delivering management and leadership training in an enjoyable and engaging fashion.

Candidates should be:-

  • Accomplished presenters
  • Able to think on the spot about how skills can be applied commercially
  • Able to process delegate information
  • Be able to actively play host to delegates at all times during the course of a training programme
  • Commercially aware as well as at least five years training and development

A mixture of training and commercial experience as well as a style that matches the values expressed here is more important than the specific number of years training.

The job is very demanding in terms of the number of programmes that need to be delivered across a wide geography. The role includes:-

  • Intensive periods balanced by days of preparation and consolidation work
  • Six weeks (30 days) of holiday which must be taken at times when open programmes are not running.
  • Staying away from home approximately (but not limited to) twice a week.

For many clients the successful applicant will become the face of the company so they must be smart, well-mannered, possess the right gravitas and be able to discuss further opportunities with clients.

The successful candidate will also be required to contribute short blog posts for the company’s website once a week, and will ideally be based around the M25 area between the M4 and M1 junctions.

Candidates applying must be confident drivers with own vehicle. Salary £35,000 - £45,000 with £5k bonus potential.
