Training Centre Manager / Business Unit Manager

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Our Client is a national training provider that delivers first class skills, employability and training solutions to create better futures for individuals, families, businesses and communities.

They are now looking for a strong, commercial Business Manager to provide management and direction within one or more of their delivery centres.

The main purpose of this role is to provide management and direction to enable each centre to meet its contractual and business objectives. You will be expected to manage and develop staff identifying any training needs, ensure that the correct systems are in place to monitor the performance and quality of the programmes as well as supporting continuous improvement. You are also required to assess the centre’s performance against set targets, developing improvement plans as and when required. Other duties include; management of the security of various resources, Health and Safety arrangements to minimise risk and making sure all work carried out is in line with the client’s policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will have a good standard of education and ideally hold WPA training / Hss8 qualification or equivalent. Experience in the management of training and support services is essential for this position. Knowledge of government funded programmes as well as awareness of the local issues related to job seeking is also crucial for this role. Project management, negotiation, budgeting and the ability to grow income are all important attributes to have in order to make this role, and our centres, a success.

Due to the nature of the role, a full UK Driving Licence is required.
