Jaggards, winner of Peterborough Evening Telegraph Medium Business of the Year 2010, is a national and market leading supplier of legal costs services to insurers. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with an interest in computers to join our established IT department helpdesk team.
Helpdesk experience/relevant qualifications will help the applicant but are not mandatory. Funding for industry qualification may be available in the future. The successful candidate will work alongside our existing IT function and support our established but growing organisation.
Primarily working in our Peterborough office with approximately 160 staff, the role will also include infrequent duties in our London office as this is currently serviced from Peterborough.
The ideal candidate will have a sound educational background, a genuine interest in computers and be able to fit in and work alongside the existing team members. The roles will give the opportunity to train on Windows Servers, Networking, Firewalls and Active Directory management.
The role will also involve providing general support to an office on matters such as file archiving etc.
Duties will include:
- Answering helpdesk enquiries
- Maintaining desktop computers/printers/photocopiers
- Learning the network infrastructure and supporting its administration
- Providing support for AV infrastructure
- Loading supplies into printers such as paper/toner etc.
- Assisting with file archiving and retrieval
- Learning and administering PAT testing
A driving license would be an advantage.
